Are You A Gold-Digger?

Yes, a gold digger! What’s YOUR perception of a gold digger? I’m sure it’s like everyone else’s.
The Urban Dictionary: is slang for “a person who goes out with you only for your money.”

Though I’m taking about an ACTUAL gold digger, an 1846 prospector, remember? The two traits these crazy individuals had were patience and PERSISTENCE. They would get a ‘sense” of where they should begin digging and then continue digging until they exhausted all their space, money or time. But the ONE thing they did was continue in the face of all odds. And I’m sure their families laughed at them, their friends and the community laughed and ridiculed them also. I’m sure it was a real challenge NOT KNOWING at a physical level if they’d ever hit gold, but on a mental level THEY KNEW they’d hit gold “IF” they’d keep digging.

This is the exact concept and belief that today’s successful individuals have in our society. Without going into a GOAL SETTING formula, all successful individuals have this belief that what-ever they do if they keep digging they’ll uncover the riches the universe provides.

I speak from experience. I, like many of you, have tried many ideas, concepts and formulas to create wealth, money and/or prosperity. ( it’s not all about money, but it sure makes life EASIER, trust me!) The ONE THING I knew is that if I keep digging I’ll hit my pot of gold. Knowing EXACTLY what I wanted, making great decisions along the way, and continue in the face of all odds is the real secret to success. BUT, all of these follow the belief I have about myself. If I truly BELIEVE in myself, I can accomplish anything!

In writing my third book; Setting Goals – Quick & Easy Worksheet, Theory and SMART Goals! The main idea of this short, profound read is ITS NOT ABOUT GOAL SETTING, goal setting is easy, write it down! Real accomplishment is about your belief and self-image of WHO YOU ARE when setting your goals, make sense? Self-esteem can be considered the positive or negative ‘evaluation’ of oneself. Our self-concept is what we think about ourselves. Self-esteem reflects our overall self-evaluation or self-appraisal of our own worth. Self-esteem comprises of beliefs such as I am capable, I am deserving, I’m worthy, etc. and emotions such as joy, happiness, sadness, guilt and blame, etc. If you can command your unconscious mind, learn to direct your thoughts, control your emotional states, AND stay focused on your goal, YOU WILL ACHIEVE IT!

My favorite quote is by Napoleon Hill; “Whatever the mind can conceive and believe, it will achieve!” It begins with your mind-set. You can set all the wonderful goals you want, but if you don’t believe in yourself, NOTHING will come to fruition. So my task for you is to write down 10 different beliefs about WHO you think you are. Then how do they affect your behavior and performance towards your goals.

So to drive this concept home: Believe in yourself, Get your goals!  I’d love to hear your thoughts on this?
